Slow Motion Action Painting

Slow Motion Action Painting was an 11-hour performance during which Miriam Cabessa painted a 30 x 7 foot painting on site at PULSE Art Fair in New York. The idea of slow motion action painting repeats several times in Cabessa’s work, where she performs choreographed acts of painting, repetitively applying and subtracting sumptuous layers of paint into intimate compositions.
