A special screening and artist talk by Roee Rosen, (MFA, Hunter College, 1991). Rosen previewed The Dust Channel (2016), a video work commissioned by documenta 14. An operetta about the Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaner, The Dust Channel conflates the private sphere of leisure and pleasure, abundance and perversions, with xenophobia and the state policing and detention of refugees. Rosen will also discuss other works, such as Live and Die as Eva Braun and The Blind Merchant, both of which were also presented at documenta14.
