At NADA Miami Beach 2015, Artis presents newly available wall works by dancer, choreographer, theorist, and artist Noa Eshkol, alongside a selection of archival materials from the archive of the Noa Eshkol Foundation for Movement Notation. The booth was curated by Prem Krishnamurthy, founder and curator at P!, and 2014 Artis Research Trip alum.
Alongside Eshkol’s work, Artis presented Do you wanna dance? (2015), a commissioned kinetic sculpture by Jon Kessler made in response to Eshkol’s practice and relationship to movement, textiles, and form, and a c-print edition Los Angeles-based artist Sharon Lockhart’s series of photographs of Eshkol’s dancers featured in the exhibition “Sharon Lockhart / Noa Eshkol,” that traveled to The Jewish Museum, New York and LACMA, Los Angeles. Limited editions by artists Guy Ben-Ner, Barry Frydlender, Dor Guez, Nir Hod, Orit Raff, Guy Yanai, and Rona Yefman were also be available at the fair. Proceeds from the sale of Eshkol’s work support Artis and the Noa Eshkol Foundation for Movement Notation.
