Curated by Monica Holmen, “The Space Between Here and There” presented works by artists Ariel Reichman and Siri Hermansen after both artists completed residencies in Jerusalem. The city and the conflict zone formed an underlying note to the exhibition, yet the artists’ gazes brought the viewers elsewhere. The exhibition explored the area between the extremes—“the space between.” Consequently, the artworks could be seen as means to try and understand human strategies for survival, tied to universal circumstances.
