Dothan spent a month at Vermont Studio Center editing a new video work, The Wandering Israeli (2019). The project began in a trip to Germany to film an experiment in identities, where Dothan wanted to examine the ability of an Israeli person, a descendant of the wandering Jew, to abandon the stronghold of the “dream come true” homeland that is Israel, and start wandering again.
