“Collage for the Edith Farnsworth House” is the fifth iteration of artist Assaf Evron’s large-scale photographic interventions into buildings designed by architect Mies van der Rohe. Based on the architect’s collage works from the 1930s and ‘40s, Assaf’s intervention covers the iconic glass façade of the Edith Farnsworth House with a camouflage pattern created from a deconstructed Georges Braque painting.
In 2024, Evron was an artist in residence at the Edith Farnsworth House. The “Collage for the Edith Farnsworth House” serves as the culmination of his residency and is accompanied by a concurrent exhibition of the artist’s drawings in the House’s onsite gallery space.
