“Staring Back at the Sun: Video Art from Israel, 1970-2012” is a video exhibition, public program, and publication that traces the development of contemporary video practice in Israel. This screening program was organized in conjunction with the Tang’s presentation of the exhibition, “This Place.”

Curator Avi Feldman introduced the program and hosted a Q&A following the screenings. Feldman is an independent curator and writer based in Tel Aviv, Berlin, and Dresden. He is a recipient of the 2018 Goethe-Institut New York’s curatorial residency within its MINI/Goethe-Institut Ludlow 38 program.
