Info Research Grants Acquisition Grants

Artis partners with select institutions internationally to support the acquisitions of works by artists from Israel, curatorial research, and archival research and digital conservation. Partnership grants are developed with the institutions over a period of time and are not open call or application based.

Artis does not accept unsolicited proposals for partnership grants. For questions about partnership grants, acquisitions, or research support, please write to grants@artiscontemporary.org

Support for the Partnership Grant Program is provided by the Artis Fund and Bollag Guggenheim AG.

Research Grants

Research grants provide support for work that gives context and expands public access to resources and new research on modern and contemporary art from Israel. Grants are provided for the development of new scholarship through publications and programing, and by contributing to the digital conservation of materials such as artists’ films, ephemera, exhibition documentation, and audiovisual files dating back to the 1960s at select archives.

Acquisition Grants

Artis works closely with the curatorial departments of partner institutions to contribute to select acquisitions. Acquisitions grants are intended to support museums in bringing significant works by major artists from Israel into their permanent collection. Artis will fund up to 50 percent of an acquisition initiated by a partner institution.
