“You got to get in to get out: El continuo sonoro que nunca se acaba [The Never-ending Sound Continuum]” is a group exhibition based on long-term research into techno culture and the dancefloor experience, conducted by curators Sonia Fernández Pan and Carolina Jiménez. The project focuses on the experiential and material quality of the dancefloor and artistic practices, and features work by Alona Rodeh, John Akomfrah, Tony Cokes, Ania Nowak, and Michele Rizzo, among others. Emphasizing the value of first-hand and sensory experiences, the exhibition reveals the nuances of techno culture, and its relationship to the history and future of socio-political struggles and resistance. A series of podcasts, and a publication of theoretical reflections on techno, accompany the exhibition.
