For her first institutional exhibition in the Nordic region, Yael Bartana presents a selection of major works created over the past few years. Spanning two floors of the GL Strand’s space, the exhibition features films, videos, sound installations, photography and neon works that showcase the diversity and scope of Yael’s distinct practice, including her recent and most comprehensive three channel film, Malka Germania (2021). In her work, Bartana pinpoints pivotal cultural and political issues of our time, and connects them through long trajectories of memory, ritual, and cultural practices.
