Exploring the intersections of contemporary art, spirituality, and religious symbolism in times of political crisis, “Two Grains of Wheat” grapples with the current cultural landscape through a variety of artistic tactics. Ranging from drawing, photography, video, installation, sculpture, ephemera and text based work, the exhibition illuminates how spirituality can shift perception, and at times, even reality.
This group presentation features Among Graves and Ruins (2019), a multi-channel video installation by artist Hinda Weiss. An intricate work in collage and video adaption, the film ruminates the shattered remains of religious conflict that characterize the contemporary city of Jerusalem.
