Part of Tsabar’s ongoing series “Transition,” in this work the artist exposes the wires, knobs, and connectors of preexisting guitar amplifiers. Tsabar refers to these deconstructed forms as “sculptural paintings that have the ability to output sound”—when connected to an instrument or other sound-emitting device, the work becomes a sonic experience.
