The Blind Merchant is an installation composed of 145 drawings and 151 pages of text. The work has three components: the complete text of Shakespeare’s play The Merchant of Venice; a “parasitical” text by Rosen, responding to the play from the point of view of Shylock, one of the central characters; and a series of drawings that accompany the text.
