Curated by Annika Kristensen and Hannah Mathews, the group exhibition “The Biography of Things” explored how artists use objects, archives, and collections to trace the labyrinthine, revealed narratives of loss, intrigue, histories, and people that live behind things. Featuring the works of Aurelien Froment, Camille Henrot, Narelle Jubelin, Nicholas Mangan, Rosalind Nashashibi & Lucy Skaer, Kirsten Pieroth, Walid Raad, and Paul Sietsema, the exhibition included Illit Azoulay’s work Shifting Degrees of Uncertainty (2014) which combines audio, images, and texts that draw narrative lines between the frames, which the spectator then discovers, connects, and interprets.

Illit Azoulay, Shifting Degrees of Uncertainty, 2014, mixed media installation, dimensions variable.
