Jelle Bouwhuis is a curator at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Bouwhuis traveled to Israel to conduct research focused on the former director of the Stedelijk Museum, Willem Sandberg (1897–1984), in regards to Israel, Israeli art, the Bezalel Academy, and the Israel Museum. While in Israel, Bouwhuis gave a lecture at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.
