Untitled (12 tubs) marks the culmination of artist Bat Ami Rivlin’s fellowship at the Socrates Sculpture Park, and is presented as part of the Socrates Annual exhibition. Exploring the transformation and co-option of domestic and public spaces, Bat Ami creates a large-scale outdoor sculpture .in the form of twelve bathtubs mounted on a wheeled structure and anchored into the ground.. Bolted together, the bathtubs create a frame for the sculpture park’s landscape and form a series of chambers from which the viewer can experience both interior and exterior at once. The view of the park punctures the hollow center of the sculpture, while the structure itself invades the landscape.
