Sleepers documents a dream workshop initiated by the artist in 2017 where a group of dream enthusiasts meet to share and experience their dream time together. As they share stories of desire and confusion, their dreams turn from personal to collective. Inspired by Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams, the film frames the human dream-state as a site for political intervention. As such, it raises questions about the existence of overarching social systems that structure our personal and public relations, and explores civilians' relationships with their leaders.
