Artist Bio
Yasmin Vardi is an artist working primarily with video, photography, and writing. She graduated with her MFA at the Slade School of Fine Arts, London and holds a BFA from the School of Multidisciplinary Art, Shenkar. In 2014, she studied at the UdK, Berlin Academy of the Arts. She has presented her works in numerous exhibitions and screenings, including at the CCA: Tel Aviv-Yafo; Generation and Display, London; Biblioteka, London; .TACO!, London; Greengrassi, London; Petah Tikva Museum of Art; IKLECTIK, London; UdK, Berlin; The Artist’s Residence, Herzliya; Media Art Biennale, Wroclaw; Young Artists Biennale, Tirana; The Center for Digital Art, Holon; Open City Documentary Festival, London; TISFF- The Experimental Film & Video Competition, and more. Since 2020, Vardi has maintained a parallel collaborative practice with artist Beatrice Vorster that focuses on the grammar of cinema - focusing on horror as a genre - that combines the exploration of cinematic cliches with structural approaches to filmmaking.
