As an MFA student at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Shiri Rozenberg was selected to participate in a summer residency at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn through a collaborative partnership between Bezalel and Pioneer Works, organized by Curatorial Seminar alum Regine Basha. During her residency, Rozenberg collected found imagery and took her own photographs in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where her studio was based. She used these materials to create photo collages that bring up questions about identity and the photographer’d gaze. Rozenberg welcomed the public into her studio during Second Sundays, a monthly public program series that includes open studios, talks, performances, and other events.
