Artist Bio

Nivi Alroy is a multidisciplinary artist based in Israel, whose practice focuses on drawing, sculpture, animation, and installation. Her work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, and site-specific installations in Israel and internationally. Alroy was the 2015-16 Hebrew University’s Safra Campus of Mathematics and Life Science visiting artist. She took part in various residency programs, including the Triangle workshop and the AIR gallery residency programs in New York, and The Asylum workshop and the Driftlab residency at the Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute. She is the recipient of two Israeli Lottery grants, the Ahuvi Most Promising Artist award, The Outset grant, The Rabinovich grant, Arts Asylum grant, and the AICF fellowship for MFA, among others. Alroy is also a lecturer on Israeli and international contemporary art.
