Artist Bio
Hinda Weiss is a Brooklyn-based artist and filmmaker whose practice spans photography, video, sound, and installation. Weiss holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BFA from the Midrasha School of Art. Her work has been showcased in prominent venues, including 601 Artspace, New York; the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; The Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; and Ludlow 38, New York.
Weiss has received numerous grants and awards, including the Outset Contemporary Art Fund, the Young International Artist Award, an Artis Exhibition Grant, the Ostrovsky Family Fund, and the Columbia University Travel Fund. She has participated in artist residencies worldwide, including at Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris), The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA) (NYC), air_basis (Frankfurt), Artport (Tel Aviv), and MeetFactory (Prague).
Weiss’ work is held in prominent collections, including the Shpilman Institute for Photography, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Haaretz Collection, and the American University Museum.
