During a residency in Everglades National Park, Gal developed a new project titled Revelation | התגלות. The project highlights the conflicts between nature and the human need for control. Drawing from biblical and ancient cultural narratives depicting crocodiles and alligators, the work unveils a modern myth that explores the speculative and symbolic significance of these creatures.
Inspired by John's vision in the Book of Revelation, the sculpture delves into the dual meaning of 'apocalypse' as both revelation and destruction. It reflects on the endangered status of American crocodiles and the keystone role of American alligators in the ecosystem, prompting introspection on human's environmental impact. Its pregnant body symbolizes the next generation of life to come, emphasizing the legacy we leave behind.
