During her residency at the Vermont Studio Center, Gal Amiram continued her research into perspective, the human gaze, and the history of technological apparatuses and their relation to political and social change. Amiram created a new installation piece about the photographic gaze of the Israeli press and audiences documenting protests in Gaza. The work stitches together a wide range of images taken by photographers on the Israeli side of the border, creating a large panorama, which was presented during the residency’s open studios.
