Artist Bio
Liliana Farber is an Uruguayan-born, New York-based visual artist. Using research-driven processes and digital strategies, Farber creates still and moving images, objects, installations, and web-based works that investigate notions of land imaginaries, unmappable spaces, utopias, and the intersection of technology and colonialism. Her work has been exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Lisbon; The Center for Books Art, New York; and Ars Electronica Festival, Austria, among others. Farber is a recipient of the Lumen Prize for Art and Technology, UK. She has participated in residencies in New York, including at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), Wassaic Project, and NARS Foundation. Her work is part of the Victoria and Albert Museum collection in London and numerous private collections worldwide. Farber received her MFA from Parsons School of Design, New York and her BA from ORT University, Uruguay.
