For her first solo exhibition in Germany, artist Ella Littwitz presents a selection of object-based works and installations at Basis e.V. in Frankfurt. 

Addressing the historical, cultural, and political significance of territorial borders, Litwtwiz’s work scrutinizes the legitimacy and permanence of territory as a fixed entity. Through a visual language of poetic abstract, Littwiz plays with border markers, exposing their malleability.

As a whole, the exhibition questions the myths, political interests, and religious beliefs that shape the physical conception of a border.
