Presenting a single artwork for a short period of time in between exhibition cycles, the KW’s “Pause” series offers a deep engagement with a work of art, and questions the relationships between past, present, and future.
In this iteration of the series, the institution presents the Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group for two evenings of performances and a day-long workshop with the company’s dancers. The performances recapitulate the company’s commitment to preserving Eshkol’s compositional methods and unique philosophy of movement. Treating the parts of the human body as separate instruments in a composition, the dancers present a polyphony between the group and each dancer’s individual body parts.
