New York-based artist Mika Rottenberg’s first solo exhibition in London was the inaugural show at Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art. The exhibition, curated by Sarah Mccrory, included two newly commissioned, site-responsive works: a continuation of Cosmic Generator, which Rottenberg first developed for the public sculpture exhibition Skulptur Projekte Münster, and a new work, Study#4, which examines the physical limits of performers and people of extraordinary ability, exploring the body's fantastical potential for elasticity and malleability and at the same time its hopeless limitations.
