Featuring nine videos from a decade of work, Keren Cytter’s eponymous exhibition was the first large-scale presentation of her work in the United States. The MCA’s exhibition also includes a series of drawings and live performance works. Originally organized by the Kunsthal Charlottenborg, in Copenhagen, the exhibition traveled to Chicago where it was curated by Naomi Beckwith, an Artis Curatorial Seminar alum. The Chicago presentation was accompanied by an anthology of all of Cytter’s film treatments—judged, by invitation of the artist, as “the best” or “the worst” by Beckwith and Jacob Fabricius, director of Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
