Artist Jan Tichy presents a newly commissioned, site-responsive installation that transforms the heart of the museum into a reimagined architectural and multi-sensorial experience. Working across disciplines with a range of laboratories and researchers at the university, Tichy uses projections and modulated lights, in addition to blacking out windows, to mimic the rise and fall of darkness over the course of a 24-hour day in 24 minutes. Visitors are invited to renegotiate their connections to the rhythms of nature, circadian cycles, and the broader environment. At its core, the exhibition begs the question, how can we better embrace our relationship with the dark?
