For his project in the Munich Stadtmuseum’s “Forum” exhibition series, Eli Singalovski presents a comprehensive body of photographic work created over the past decade.
Singalovski’s practice revolves around the visual research of modernist architecture in Israel, focusing on the implementation of the Brutalist style as a manifestation of the country’s ideology. Raising questions about the instrumentalization of public spaces, the works in the show explore how historical narratives are anchored in the urban environment and in turn affect society.
