For her first solo exhibition in Istanbul, artist Nira Pereg continues her ongoing exploration of restrictive territorial paradigms. Designed around an algorithm tailored to Depo’s ground-floor gallery space, the exhibition probes the permeation of boundaries from public spheres to private space, turning the gallery space into an active participant in the territorial discourse. Pereg’s project stems from her extensive research on barricades, and an archive of photos of barriers that she has collected from all over the world. The exhibition is composed of ready made sculpture, video works, and a VR component.
