Curated by Maria Veits, “Aliyah 91” was a group exhibition featuring Rimma Arslanov, Nino Biniashvili, Zoya Cherkassky, Noa Ginzburg, Anat Martkovich, Sasha Tamarin, and Vera Vladimirsky. The exhibition title refers to the migration of Soviet Jewish to Israel when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. The seven artists exhibited show works exploring a sense of juggling multiple cultural identities, exile, memory, nostalgia, and a sense of belonging.
