Kunsthalle Recklinghausen
Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany
May 5–July 14, 2019

For her first monographic exhibition in Germany, Penny Hes Yassour will realize three large multimedia installations, where she combines sound and image to create poetic and narrative spaces that confront the viewer with their own fears and social environments. One installation leads the viewer through the Jordan Valley, which today forms the border between Israel and Jordan. Another installation, created in cooperation with the Weizmann Institute of Science, recreates a bat observatory used for scientific research. And the third installation tells the story of the construction of a water basin on the border between Galilee and the West Bank.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog with texts by Galia Bar-Or, Nimrod Reichman and Hans J├╝rgen Schwalm.
