From the seafoam and clouds to the here and now is a group exhibition that examines how contemporary artists from Tel Aviv use the form, myth, message and image of Tel Aviv’s Modernist structures as their subject. Central to the show is the influence of The White City in Tel Aviv, a collection of over 4,000 buildings built from the 1930s in a unique form of Bauhaus or International Style.

The artists in the show present work that deconstructs the physical and psychological qualities of different built environments, ranging from institutional and residential architecture to plazas, parks and gardens, and includes both newly commissioned work by Providence College Galleries alongside already existing projects.

Participating artists: David Adika, Ronny Carny, Yael Efrati, Hilla Toony Navok, and Shay Zilberman, among others.
