For her biggest exhibition to date in Europe, Naama Tsabar presented three evolving bodies of work – Work On Felt, Barricade and Transition – that examine human sociality, behavior and the underlying role of intimacy and performativity.

Straddling the fields of sculpture and performance, Naama Tsabar creates objects that function both as artworks and musical instruments. Work On Felt, Barricade and Transition all share the potential of activation at any given moment, they are on and ready to emit sound. For her project at Kunsthaus Baselland, the artist will put together a band of local musicians to learn how to play, write and perform a new musical composition weaving all three works together through movement and sound.
