Gal Amiram Residency at Vermont Studio Center
Johnson, VT
April 1–27, 2018

During her residency at the Vermont Studio Center, Gal Amiram continued her on-going research into perspective, the human gaze, and the history of technological apparatuses and their relation to political and social change. She created a new installation piece about the photographic gaze of the Israeli press and audiences documenting protests in Gaza. The work stitches together a wide range of images taken by photographers on the Israeli side of the border, creating a large panorama, which was presented during the residency’s open studios.
