About the Work

“Images of tables, chairs, and boats appear in my work for different reasons, because they ask ‘from where do I see what I see?’ They combine voids, blend spaces, and conventions of abstraction and representation. Sometimes they obey gravity—grounded, as we are—and other times they climb the wall, reversed or seem reflected, as if in a mirror or in water. Their spaces and ours become elusive and unclear.” – Nahum Tevet
